Itinerary

Day 1: Arrival in Tehran

The Tour begins when your plane lands at Imam Khomeini International Airport (IKIA) in Tehran. Our representative will be there to greet you and take you to Bahar Hotel to rest for the night.

Day 2: Tehran

We will be spending this day visiting some of the best attractions of the Capital of Iran, Tehran. We will begin the day by visiting the National Museum of Tehran. This museum is the greatest museum of the history and the archeology of Iran. Then, we will be visiting the splendid Golestan Palace. This 18th and 19th century masterpiece of Qajar Era is inscribed on UNESCO list. Next, we will explore and walk through the nearby Bazaar which is the oldest Bazaar of Tehran known as the Grand Bazaar. On this day, we also will be visiting the National Jewelry Museum which holds a rare collection of world famous stone gems and royal jewels that were gathered through centuries. We will check out the Nature Bridge which is the largest pedestrian overpass in Tehran and a contemporary masterpiece of architecture. We will take you back to Bahar Hotel to spend the night. Day 3: Tehran- Flight to Kerman- Kerman- Mahan- Shahdad

Early in the morning, we will head to the airport to catch a direct flight to Kerman. Once there, we will be visiting Ganjali Khan Complex which is consisted of Kerman Bazaar, Ganjali khan Traditional Bath House and Caravanserai. We will then head to Mahan to visit the Shah Nematollah Vali Shrine and mystic lodge. We will drive to Shahdad for a desert hike and to spend the night in an Eco camp.(overnight in Shahdad)

Day 4: Shahdad- Yazd

On this day, we will wake up early to catch the sunrise that paint the sky over Shahdad Desert. We will continue our desert exploration and Safari with discovering Shahdad Kaluts (huge natural structures rising from the ground) as the main attractions of this desert. After having breakfast, we will drive to Yazd. On the road to Yazd we will be visiting the Zeynoddin Caravanserai. This 16th century caravanserai with its rounded structure is situated on the ancient Silk Road. We will spend the night in Khan Dohed Hotel in Yazd. (overnight in Yazd)

Day 5: Yazd

On the fifth day, we will first visit an ancient Zoroastrian cemetery and the uncanny Tower of Silence. Next, we will visit a Fire Temple. This Fire Temple holds the everlasting fire that has been burning for more than 1500 years. Next, we will be visiting Jameh Mosque of Yazd which is known as the congregational ancient mosque of this city. Then, we will walk around Fahadan Quarter, the ancient part of the city, through its unique and old-styled alleys and mud brick houses. Continuing our trip, we will be visiting the Zoroastrians history and culture museum called Markar Museum. Then, we will visit the significant and ancient Amir Chakhmag Complex which is known as the symbol of the city. We will then visit Dolat Abad Garden which is one of the 9 Persian Gardens inscribed on UNESCO list. In the heart of the garden is located the Tallest Windward in the World. We will head back to Khan Dohed Hotel to spend the night in Yazd.(overnight in Yazd)

Day 6: Yazd- Persepolis- Shiraz

On this day, we will hit the road to Shiraz. On our way to Shiraz, we will be visiting Persepolis which is located within 53 Km of Shiraz. This UNESCO World Heritage site is considered as the gem of Achaemenid Persian Empire. We will then discover the majestic Necropolis which is located within 5 kilometers of Persepolis. The tombs of Persian Kings of Achaemenid are impressively carved out of a rock wall, high above the ground. After visiting Persepolis and Necropolis, we will head to Beyn Ol-Harameyn Hotel to spend the night in Shiraz.(overnight in Shiraz)

Day 7: Shiraz

On this day, we will be exploring the highlights of Shiraz. We will be first visiting one of the most glamorous mosques in the world called Nasirolmolk Mosque or the Pink Mosque. This mosque is world famous for its stained-glass windows. Next, we will visit the Narenjestan Garden. Then, we will enjoy the beauty of the famous and UNESCO recognized garden of Shiraz called Eram Garden. We will then explore the historical center of the city by visiting Vakil Mosque and Vakil Bazaar. We will also be visiting Ali ebne Hamzeh Shrine, a unique Shia’s holy shrine. We will be visiting the heavenly Mausoleum of Hafez where one of the most famous and respected Persian poets is laid to rest. We will take you to Beyn Ol-Harameyn Hotel to spend the night. (overnight in Shiraz)

Day 8: Shiraz- Pasargadae- Izadkhast- Esfahan

On this day, we will leave Shiraz to Esfahan. On our way, we will visit the UNESCO recognized site of Pasargadae to discover the tomb of Cyrus the Great. Also, this site is a great testimony of the universal value of the Achaemenid civilization in Persia. We will proceed to Izadkhast to visit the UNESCO recognized complex of Izadkhast old Castle and Caravanserai. We will then make our way to the city of Esfahan. Once there, we will be visiting two famous historical Bridges of Esfahan which are the Khaju Bridge as the only tiled bridge of Esfahan and the lively Siosepol Bridge. We will be spending the night in Piroozy Hotel in Isfahan.(overnight in Esfahan)

Day 9: Esfahan

On this day, we will visit the Chehel Sotun Palace which is a UNESCO Heritage Site that is surrounded by a great and beautiful Persian garden. The walls of the palace are adorned with mirrors, different designs and historical paintings. Next, we will walk to the nearby Naqsh-E Jahan Square. This UNESCO site, as the gem of the city of Isfahan, is the third largest square in the world. We can gaze at the splendor of the Square’s architecture, learn about its history and enjoy its tranquil ambiance. While we are there, we will also visit Shah Mosque which is a masterpiece of architecture and one of the finest examples of blue-tiled mosques. Also, we will discover the adjacent mosque called Sheikh Lotfollah Mosque. Then, we will walk through the world famous Bazaar of Isfahan through Qeysarieh Gate. Before heading back to Piroozy Hotel, We will visit the Vank Cathedral located in Armenian center of the city. (overnight in Esfahan)

Day 10: Esfahan- Natanz- Kashan

On the tenth day, before leaving Isfahan, we will visit the Music Museum to learn about several Iranian traditional music instruments. Then, we will drive to Natanz to visit the Natanz Jame Mosque with its pyramid dome and the Sheikh Abdos Samad Mystic Lodge. We will then head to Kashan to spend the night in Negin Traditional Hotel. (overnight in Kashan)

Day 11: Kashan- IKIA

On the last day of our trip, we will be visiting the UNESCO recognized Fin Garden which is known as one of the most appreciated Persian Gardens by its visitors. Then, we will discover one of the most visited Persian historical houses known as Tabatabayi House. We will then visit Kashan Bazaar and Amino dole Timche. Continuing to the center of Kashan, we will visit the Aqa Bozorg Religious School and Mosque. This 18th century Islamic complex is famous for its fine symmetrical plan and architecture. We will leave Kashan to Imam Khomeini International Airport (IKIA) in Tehran where our tour will come to an end.

1. Can I stay longer in Iran that I have planned?
Yes you can extend your 30-day Iran Visa validity if you wish to stay longer in Iran. If you have obtained your Visa through an embassy, you can extend your Visa twice and each time for 30 days. But in case you have got your Visa on arrival at the airport you can only extend it for 14 days. Keep in mind that the final decision regarding this matter is up to the Foreign Affairs officers.
2. When is the best time to book a tour?
We advise you to book the tours a few months in advance since there is no guarantee that the hotels mentioned in the tour packages will be available in your requested time, especially, if you are planning to travel during peak seasons which are from mid-March to May and from late September to Late November.
3. How long does it take to process an Iran Visa?
Typically, visa authorization codes are issued within 1-3 working days. You can then collect your Visa in 10 days at the Embassy. We advise you to start the process 3 to 4 weeks prior to the date of your departure. Also, if you are a UK, USA, or Canadian citizen you should start Iran Visa process 2-3 months earlier than usual.
4. Is it possible to book a different hotel than indicated in the tour itinerary?
Yes, we can change hotel reservation based on your requests. The hotels recommended in the itineraries are located at the center of the city and have been our tourists’ top favorites. It is better to book the hotels a few months in advance since there is no guarantee that the hotels will be available in your requested time.
5. Does Travelopersia offer tours in languages other than English?

6. What kind of transportation does Travelopersia offer on their tours?

7. What if I wish to extend my stay at a hotel before or after the tour?
Yes, we can help you book additional nights at a specific hotel before the tour begins and after your trip. Let us know so we can recommend you the best possible option.
8. Is there a prepayment for reserving the tours and Itineraries?
We require a 10% prepayment for each tour and itinerary reservation. The rest of the payment can be made upon your arrival.
9. What is the required dress code?
The dress code of Iran requires locals and tourists to wear clothes that appropriately cover their body, legs, and arms. In case of women, they are obliged to cover their hair and wear preferably knee length dresses or Mantos over a pair of pants. For foot wear, you can wear anything that you feel comfortable in.
